Help in VFP7 1

I am using VFP 7. I installed a new harddrive and left VFP7 on the old drive which is now drive E. I am able to use VFP on this drive quite nicely except I cannot get Help. The help file is shown in the correct location (Tools\Options\File Locations) as :

E:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual FoxPro\foxhelp

but nothing comes up when help is accessed.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

When you say "nothing comes up" do you mean that nothing at all happens, or that you get a "page can't be found" type error?

Either way, I suspect it's caused by not having the foxhelp.chm file on the C: drive. For some reason you can only open .chm files when they're on your C: drive.

I suggest you move the file to somewhere on your C: and in VFP go to Tools\Options-File locations tab and reset the Help File item.

You'll need to register FOXHHELP9.EXE. To do so, find that file in E:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VFP and run it with /REGSERVER as a parameter.

That's just not true. I have multiple versions of VFP on my D drive with their Help files, along with the Hacker's Guide CHM and several others. They all work just fine.

But put 'em on a network drive and they won't work wihout fiddling permissions.

Yes...no a thing happens...no error message
I moved the chm file to drive C root and changed the settings in VFP but still nothing !

I am using VFP 7 not VFP 9.

Then the name of the file is FOXHHELP7.EXE. Same steps.
