Help in learning vb6pro

Can anyone give me some guidelines in learning this language? I have been doing this for a few months now and seem to get myself stuck in alot of situations.

Is it best to master(or become good at) whatever area that I am learning and then move on? What would you suggest? I want to know everything, if possible, about vb6.

Any help at the best ways to learn this would be great.

Hear are three fairly simple steps.

1. Get a good VB book and go through it thoroughly. Don't move on until you understand what you are on and do all the examples. You can find book reviews at

http://www.visualbasicbooks.com.

Make sure the book reads at your level.

2. Do some of the free tutorials found on the internet. See my post in thread222-628778 for a small list. Search for more.

3. Go to a code bank, such as

http://www.planetsourcecode.com,

http://www.freevbcode.com

or

http://www.a1vbcode.com

(there are others) and download sample projects and work with them until you understand what is going on.

When you can't find an answer come to tek-tips.
