We Recently made ARS changes to route outbound local traffic via ATT trunks as opposed to BellSouth, our local service provider's trunks. The problem is, i can dial a cell phone from the company station and it works fine. however if i set my extension to cover to the cell, it doesn't work. I can hear the cell phone ringing, i answer, but do not get any sound. The station goes on ringing. This happens on Verizon cell phones. Coverage works fine on Sprint phones and home phones. I am at a loss as to what could be the problem. I have tried to vary the number of rings, but that doesn't help. Everything works perfect on Bellsouth trunks.

I had a similar problem it ended up being the calls were beig monitored by the switch when it went off the network and it didin't have enough time to really ring the cell phone.
Check system parameters coverage-forwarding and increase the number of rings on this field:
Off-Net Cvg Subsequent Redirection/CFWD No Ans Interval (rings): 2
Hope this helps.

You can also assign an extension in the switch that when dialed it goes out and dials the cell phone number. I am not looking at my switch right now, but if memory serves you setup a remote coverage path and assign that to the extension. I did that with my cell phone and it worked like a charm.
