HELP for .HLP in WinXp !

I've made a program with Foxpro 2.6 for Windows in Win98.
I used a .HLP, and it was working perfectly. I've used
the "SET HELP TO - SET TOPIC TO" commands.
But under WinXp it sends a message :
"This help isn't made for the Windows Help !"
If I start a .HLP directly from Explorer, it's work.

Who has a solving ?

That's because under Win 9x (like Win 3.x), Winhelp.exe is associated with .HLP files. In Win NT / 2000 / XP / 2003, .HLP files are associated with WINHLP32.exe.

Unless you want to have your users change this setting in the registry and possiblity make a number of other application's Help function stop working, you are out of luck.

If most of your users have upgraded to XP and beyond, it's time to consider upgrading to VFP. 9.0 will be out later this year, and a free public beta is available now.

You can do it! I have a project written in FPW2.6a with help files in .HLP format which runs fine on 98,Me and XP, but you must compile your help file using HCP.EXE (the 16-bit version of the help compiler).

I use ShalomHelp for editing, and HCW.EXE for compiling. This HCW.EXE was the problem.
Now I make .HPJ and .RTF file (temporaries!)from .SHP, after that I compile with HC.EXE
( from HC505.ZIP ). So I can call the .HLP file from FPW26.
