HELP FOR GENTRAN NT

I am new to GENTRAN tool. Where can I get more information, documentation or any tips on GENTRAN director and integrator? What is the best way to learn it? any tips???

- The best way to learn how to work with GENTRANirector
is to attend a one day course which is given by Sterling Commerce in Columbus, Ohio. In one day you can learn the basics and after that it is just a matter of using the product. GENTRANirector is fairly straight forward to use anyway. Besides using the CBT, the manual and the online documentation (see

http://www.sterlingcommerce.com)

you can also call into their support desk. They should be able to walk you through the most basic steps you need to know.

- Regarding Integrator, it depends which one you mean. Flatfile or Forms integration is easier to learn then Application integration. That is mapping part of GENTRANirector. There is a 3 day course for Application Integration you can follow as well in Ohio. That course will teach you the basics of mapping.

Gentran Director is straight forward.Just take the gentran director manual and read it.Every thing that u need to know about sending receiving etc is in that.Also it tell u how to register templates also.
Even for the integration u need to read the manual.
Thats it.I think u can master it in a couple of days
