ok i dont get it, ive tried every setting in the book?
ive got quark 5 and acrobat 5 with distiller, when i try to export to pdf, or just print to distiller, and do all the high res settings, believe me ive done them all, press, print, and optimized my own 2400 dpi with no compression or anything, my eps files are jagged as heck, but my bitmaps are clear, is this a quark proble, adobe problem? or maybe my eps files were saved wrong? please help

Are the EPS files crisp when you zoom in at maximum in Acrobat? Are they jagged onscreen in Acrobat or in print - - or both?

ok ya when i do press, the eps file looks jagged but prints out pretty clear thats fine, but i need it to look super sharp on screen and print like crap for proofing stage of the work, and i cant seem to figure that one out? and ya the closer i zoom in the nicer it looks but 100% is no bueno

This may be an Acrobat setting. First, make sure you are viewing in Acrobat 5 or greater. Acrobat 4 and below has issues with smoothing vector lines.

In Acrobat 5 or greater, check your preferences to smooth text and line art. This setting affects your onscreen display.
