I have windows server 2003 ent and i made a simple webpage for testing and somehow i can see the page on my IE but friends accross the net cant. i have static ip and the page url is i heard something like "win 2k3 server by default disable external connection" or something similar to that. Can anyone help with this problem and tell me why external viewing is not possible?

Check your firewall for starters. You need to let port 80 traffic in. I tried to telnet into your IP and it fails.

I hope you find this post helpful.

I think my isp wont let me use port 80, is there anyway around this like using other port to display port 80.

yes, you can configure IIS to use different ports, but your users would then need to knwo not only the address but also the port number. Seems like you are going through a lot of trouble for nothing. I use a great ISP to host a few sites I manage. They only charge $4/95 a month.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
