Could someone please help me connect to an oledb datasource?

I have tried everything that I know of, and the connection keeps coming up as failed. I'm using SQL server 2000, and CF Server 5. The db was imported from Access.

Is this correct: (from CF administrator OLE DB ds)

DSN: (dsn)
Description: (whatever)
Provider: SQLOLEDB
Server: (local) ---I also tried my computername, VLADAMIR
Default Database: (database) --Name is spelled right

Do I need to set the DSN up somewhere else? (Using Win2k)
Do I need to fill in the Coldfusion Login and Password?
Is there something else I'm missing completely????

Help!?!?!? ODBC datasources work with no problem, but of course my boss wanted to do it this way...

Thanks in advance!

I know there were huge problems getting OLE DB to work under version 4.x of CF Server. I stayed away from it as when I finally DID get it working, the performance was not better than ODBC, and in places where it was close, it wasn't worth the errors I encountered using date objects.

Under CFMX, setting up the native SQL Server drivers was actually a pleasure compared to 4.x. Most of our clients run on CF 5; I'm working with and watching closely for any problems with CFMX (and there are enough) and waiting until I think there is necessity to move to it. Half of necessity for me in this case is a service pack or at least some hotfixes.
