hi
I have been working on a program now for about 6 months and have finally finished it, i now want to make it look flash and im using a bmp style image for the background of the form, i now want to have to blue bar across the top so i set the border style to none and nothing changes, i have more than one form in this program and all the other forms work fine but form1 wont let me drop the border, why?

maybe it is something simple but i have tried and tried and i cant seem to get it, form1 is the main screen so it the one i want to change the most.

any suggestions would be really appreciated.

well if you have any menu's on the top well that would do it
the lowest you can go is form1.borderstyle = 1
sorry

what i do is just stick another form on top if you need a menu and just manipulate it

this is the only thing that i can see what might stop you

you must set the forms caption to ""
also you must say the forms control box is false

then say forms border is none

then you have a borderless
and title bar-less ("Blue Bar") form.

hope it helps you...

if you need a control box ... your out of luck though.

thanks guys,

It worked , i removed the caption and set the control box to false and it worked.

This is going to sound like a stupid question but what is a control box? im new to vb

control box is the minimize restore and maximize functionality in the upper right hand corner of the form...most of all the windows programs have it.

Hi,

My name is Roy.

If you have a menu on the top of your form, you can't change the BorderStyle to none. Otherwise, it should work.
