HELO instead of EHELO

I need to check the box "send HELO instead of EHLO" under the connectors tab. The thing is I dont have any SMTP connectors set in here. Is there any where else that I can change that option as I am not using any connctors.

I have found an article on the microsoft knowledge base.(see link below) that says about using ADSIEdit to change the required settings. Will this do what I want?
