Hello everyone.
My problem is this: A user of a machine in our network is getting an error message had to do with permissions while using an application that interfaces with MS Word. I unistalled the application he was using and reinstalled. I got errors on reinstall. The install log generated says:
“Setup cannot determine if Word is installed on a different drive than TEMP. Manually verify that Word and the TEMP directory share the same drive.” It says to check the following to see if they match:
Under ControlPanel -> System -> Advanced -> Enviromental Variables, check the path for TEMP.
The path for TEMP and TMP is C:\Windows\temp
Under Control Panel -> Admin tools -> Data Sources (ODBC) -> User DSN -> Text Files -> Configure, check the path for TEMP.
The path is C:\Windows\temp.
So they both match. So what’s the problem? Have anyone run into this before?? Thanks for any help forthcoming.
