Hello All,
I have 2 linked tables, when I use the form wizard, I can add fields from both tables with no problems. If I try to add a field to an existing form from a second table, I get the error "#Name?". I am adding the field this way "=[sa_rights].[Rights]" which is how the expression builder did it. If I look at the form that the wizard created, the control source is just "Rights".

So how do I add a new field from a linked table?!?!?!

Thanks,
Bob

Look at the Data Source property of the form that the wizard made. It sets up a SQL statement that, in essence, makes the form's data source a query combining the two tables. When you do it yourself you are probably basing the form on a single table.

To do what you want either create a query that joins the two tables together and base the form on that, or create an unbound form and type the SQL statement into its Data Source property.
