Hi All,

I am new to dreamweaver and I need to know how to create a webpage were the background fades from one colour to the next. But, my client doesn't just want one fade, they want the header of the page to fade left to right for about an inch, and then the entire left hand side to fade top to bottom. So you end up with a solid left corner, and then a strip across the top and then one down the side.

I have looked all around the forums, and I have found a couple that say you need to use one some image and CSS's to make the image fade. I dont really understand how to do that, so if someone could explain that would be great... and then if you could explain to do it on both the header and side... then that would be even better!

Thanks in advance

so do i create one big background image or one little one? I have the website saved as a image, so I can easily break it up...

I have had to do this before. I used Powerpoint to draw a graduated fade and then drew another box and graduated that. I then screen grabbed it saved it as an image and then used it as the webpage background. I used layers. That way you can place stuff anywhere on the background image. Worked for me!!
