I have a Radeon 4850 card that has a HDMI out.

I can get the image/video to the TV set just fine, however, the HDMI Audio does not.

The DP55WG board has the sound embbeded.

Here is the SOUND menu where it appears with a down red arrow but greyed out.

What does the red arrow indicate?

I have disabeled all the other options to see if the HDMI option becomes available.

Any help will be appreciated.

Well it is suggesting that the HDMI digital audio is not connected.

Are you using an HDMI 1.3 connector to the TV? Do you have speakers plugged into the speaker output of the motherboard: that option is only normally set as default if there is a connection? Try disabling the integrated audio in BIOS.

Are you using the latest ATI drivers? Did you do a full install of the ATI driver: the audio over HDMI is a separate element of the driver. Does the Device Manager show any problems? (No help) but my 4850 works fine for me.
