Two problems, I accidentally made what I think were passwords and I also cannot connect to localhost. I am using Apache and PHP, and when I go to test a connection it says unable to find localhost.

Simple troubleshooting
Forget the PHP try a simple client connection to the database
mysql -h localhost -u root -p
But make sure you are on localhost yourself
If this does not work post the actual error message that you get together with information on platform and mysql version

Hey thanks, I got all the bugs worked out, I just got a laptop so I deleted all the files on my old PC and started fresh on my laptop. Thanks again for the help!
