Having a layer stay relative to elements on a page

Hi,

Let's see if I can explain this clearly. :)

1) I have a series of images that make up my navigation. (This was built using layers then converted to a table, I then centred the table within another table as it needs to sit in the centre of the browser window).

2) I am using the 'show/hide layers' and the 'timeline' to create a popup menu. This is fine, I can do this.

3) Problem! The table in the centre is fine as it is always in the centre whatever the screen size etc. As for the layer that holds my 'popup menu/s' this is always relevant to the top and left.

This causes problems as it's never aligned to the elements in the table I need it to be aligned to (the buttons).

Does anyone know of a solution to this?
Is there a solution to this...?

Thanks for any help. If you need more info just ask.

Regards

Oh, I'm using DW3 - Ultrdev and it only needs to work in IE5+ as it's for a select audience that all use the same browser.

Cheers, I found that at the Macromedia Exchange minutes before going home yesterday.

One thing. I don't seem to have the options of 'on Load' (or 'on Resize'). I was going to use a on mouseOver on the button as the layer is hidden untill then anyway but I guess onLoad would be better.

Could you tell me how to get that option?

It's ok, I just followed the link you gave and read up on it. It say's to attach it to an on mouseOver (or click whatever depending on your needs).

That PVII site is wicked, that's the first time I've seen the list of extensions there though.

Thanks again....
