I have a remote user (salesperson who lives in another state) who uses a laptop.
This user can dial into our server with no problem.
This user can access the internet through our server while dialing in with no problem.
This user can dial into Compuserve(her ISP), with no problem.
But this user cannot access the internet when dialing in to Compuserve.

Im thinking this is more a Compuserve server issue, or at least the Compuserve files on her laptop.

Her "boss" insists its the modem or hardware problem.

What u guys think?

I think it's a DNS problem. The Compuserve connection is trying to use the DNS of your server.
To test, try having her type in the IP of the site she wishes to view, instead of the name,
eg. instead of Cheers,

I agree with Comtech... but to add to that... another possibility:

Proxy settings... is the users browser set to use a proxy server, set on your network? if so, when the user connects to compuserver, and tries to browse, it will not find the proxy server on your network through compuserve
