Hardware error message

When I start my computer (before Windows loads up), I get a long message saying that there could be a hardware problem. The computer is locked up. When I re-start the computer everything loads up tine.
This message occures almost every other time.

Yeah, that's a lot to read without even knowing the EXACT message, and where in the boot process it appears. Lets start there.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

Well, I can see one problem that might help you. You’re two service packs behind (Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2195)) I had some similar symptoms and getting the latest service packs corrected the problem, it couldn’t hurt to try that, got nothing to loose at this point.

As mattjurado mentioned, it would help to know the message you were getting. What you sent was just a report of your system.
