Hardware Detection problem

I ran some Ad-Aware software to remove any unwanted junk from different websites. After that I can't install any new hardware. The OS just doesn't detect anything.

Any ideas?

I doubt it was ad-ware that is causing the problem. But, if it was caused by somthing it removed then you should be able to undo it by selecting the Quarantine list and selecting the lastest quarantine and restoreing it.
