Hard Drive

I have recently put in a new hard drive but under my computer it is not being detected. On the start up screen it detects it and it is also detected under device manager but not my computer. any suggestions would be apprectiated.

Has it been partitioned and formatted? Try Start, Run, dskmgmt.msc

Does the drive show here?
