The cluster size varies with the partition size. I don't recall what they are, but the information is freely available. It would be something like 4K up to 8 gig, 8K up to 12 gig and so on.
If you are storing large files, a large cluster size would in theory be faster as the head has fewer reads to perform, but whether you would actually notice the difference.......
I partition my drives to give the smallest cluster size for more efficient use of space. My suggestions are what I would try myself. If incorrect, I welcome corrections to my rather limited knowledge. Andy.
