I have a user who is receiving hang-up calls from outside our facility. We have PRI but the calling ID is blocked so we can not identify the call.

Does anyone have any suggestions for intercepting or blocking 'blocked' calls? MCT does nothing for us and of course CDR doesn't have the info as well.

This is happening in a G3R V8.01

Any suggestions would be great.

You could always have the phone company put a trace on the number dialed. Once you can ID the calling (the phone company does get ANI) number have it block. This will work only for a little while until the caller uses a different phone. Plan B give the called party a new extension. Then its just staying one step ahead of the person making the call. Sorry Look!!! New Buttons
Same amount of time!

Yep, best thing to do is to inform your provider.
They will not give you the number (privacy, you know) but they will take contact with the caller (or even inform the police).
Most of the time they will check how often this occured and then take contact with the caller asking him to stop it.
If the problem still occures you need to go to back to your provider and they will then inform the police.

Well, that is how it goes in Europe.

Good luck,
Erik.
