Handsfree option on 3904 , Module works?!?

Hi,
I have done the migration of a site in Italia onto a Nortel PBX.
They have 3902 and 3904 phones. It is one year now and they keep complaining very hard about the Handsfree option that they use very often.
I went on site and I saw that the conversation was cut all the time on Handsfree mode. Sometimes, you cant interrut a conversation for 8 seconds if the other is talking.
I know there is a Half duplex issue, but they are the only one to complain.

Nortel first told me that it is because they are Italian and the talk too fast...

Then, they sent me a Full Duplex HandsFree module. Still, it does not work.

Then, they sent me the DECT 4060 supposed to be Full Duplex : still does nt work.

Please HELP ME if you have any tips.

doubt if it's talking to fast, most of the problems i've seen is from secondary sound on the domitate side.. moving papers, keyboards, background sound of anykind will cause major dead spots from the far end. even a full duplex will suffer from cutoffs

To add to what johnpoole said -- had a similar problem once at a new building, and found that they had installed some sort of "white noise" generator. I guess it was calming and restful, but the handsfree set picked this up as background noise, even though we really couldn't hear it.
