Anyway to allow users (roughly 500 users) to access the printserver as guests without adding each individual user. They just need access to print. Under WINNT this was accomplished through adding guest group to printers, however, does not seem to be the same under Windows 2000 server. I'm trying to give print access to guests without having to add each individual user.

Go into the Security Properties of the printer and add the Guest Group and give them print authority

connect the printer to a print box (such as HP Jetdirect, or Intel Netport) and define a TCP/IP LPR printer on the clients...
No network rights needed at all... (which makes it even safer) ---------------------------------------------------------------------
I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work
