We have GroupWise 5.5 and we have recently failed to receive messages seemingly at random.

I can see details of messages pulled into the system through GIA but on failed messages recipient is PFA instead of user.

On PFA log file I receive a failure error message but I cannot find any solution to the problem, nor can I find where to retreive these messages. They are not defined as failed delivery. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help..

Is the PFA logging into NDS okay? What are the error messages that you are receiving?

Please advise.

ON PFA screen I get: pfa reports following exception or failure: DWN: POP3 Server Reports "ERR[IN USE] Unable to lock maildrop.
In the log a get a few warnings amongst the ones that FPA is running:
when starting a download cycle after the third failed attemt to connect
1)PFA reports the following exception or failure: DWN: com.novell.pop3.POP3Exception: Giving up on smtp.freezone.co.uk.
Connect error: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort

and in between completed downloads

On occasions I get after the download cycle begins:
"Found 0 pop accounts"

I looked in the pfa.ncf file and on a Novell support issue on PFA (doc 10057159) it said I should have my internet domain name specified at the end of the load statement - which I have not. Would that be an issue?

Thanks for any help - in the meantime I keep on trying..
