I have created a few formula fields that I added to my group footer. Now I created another formula field that is based on the fields from the formula field that I added to my group footer. Is there a way to group the report based on the last created formula field?
Thank you
Joe

If a formula field can't be used for grouping, that's probably because it is based on more than one 'row' or detail line. Grouping has to be based on something in a single 'row', though it can be a formula field involving several fields from different tables.

As synapsevampire said, you should have posted your formulas. But if you want to select based on some property of an enitre group, look at the Top N function.

It also helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods change between versions, and higher versions have extra options.
