When I log on to my domain at work with my laptop, I cannot standby or hibernate. The options are available to me, but when I shoose either of them from the Shut Down menu, nothing happens.
If I take my laptop home, and log on to the laptop with no connectivity but with the same domain username and password, Standby and Hibernate work fine.
This makes me think that there is a group policy object or something preventing me from standing by. But I can't find it anywhere (I am an admin). I also find it strange that if there WERE a group policy object saying "disable standby" or whatnot, why would the Standby option would still be available to me?
