Recently we have upgraded our domain from NT4 to Windows2003 Server, Now I want to enable Group Policies, they work fine for Windows2000 and WindowsXP clients, but none of the polcies seem work under Windows98, the bad thing is that we still have 40 PCs running under 98.

Thanks

Windows 9x does not support Active Directory Group Policies. You can set policies using a program called Policy Editor, available on the Windows 98 CD if I remember correctly. The general steps for doing this are:
1. Create the policy file using Policy Editor
2. Enable policy processing on the Windows 98 clients
3. Place the policy file you created in the NETLOGON share (Sysvol\sysvol\domain\scripts)

There may still be information on Microsoft's site about doing this; I haven't done it in 5 years...

I know of no way for Active Directory group policy's to be applied to Win98 PC's. However, you can still use the old way. Just use the poledit.exe utility on a Win98 PC to configure a policy and save it as config.pol in your servers netlogon share.

I hope I'm not wasting your time by telling you what you already knew!

Thanks, Guys for your advice, is greatly appreciated.
