Hi all,

I have just set up folder redirection for Application Data. Everything works perfectly except one thing. When the user logs off, the App Data is sync'd with the server but it can't sync certain types of files. This isn't a problem but I need to find a way to stop the synchronisation from telling the user about it as when it does it just sits there and the user has to intervene to finish logging off.

Does anyone know how to switch off the notification?

Thanks for your help.

Did you find a cure for this? I'm having the same issue.

I did.

You need to save this text below as a reg file and import it on each machine.

Be warned though I had so many problems with utilising this 'feature' that I switched it off. Once you have it rolled out to users, switching it off causes so many problems it's just not worth implementing it. To save profile space, I decided to not sync Tempory Internet Files or My Documents. Warn users that if they want to be sure docs get backed up, save it on the network drives otherwise you offer no guarentee that you can recover the docs. If they choose to ignore you, their loss.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\NetCache]
"ExcludeExtensions"="*.slm;*.mdb;*.ldb;*.mdw;*.mde;*.pst"
"SyncAtLogon"=dword:00000001
"SyncAtLogoff"=dword:00000001
"Enabled"=dword:00000001
