Anyone know how to use 'Group Policy' to show the internet explorer thats not enabled by default on XP Pro machines?

Ive tried adding the registry entry for NoInternetIcon to 0 to the HKLM. Anyone know a way around this? w/o adding an iexplore.exe shortcut?

Do you need to show the IE icon on the desktop? (Display Properties/Desktop/Customize Desktop and tick your items of choice?) Would Tweakui help, it has GPO stuff?

Andy.

Yea just need to display the IE icon, in Windows XP pro the clients dont have it by default. And Id like to set it at the domain level (group policy); I didnt see any options listed. (windows 2000 server AD users)

Too many PC's to do tweakui :)

Hmm, running Windows 2000 Server SP4, and not noticing any GPO settings (ie. in the desktop properties for either User or Machine settings.)

Maybe not supported in Windows 2000 serv? and maybe only 2003 ?

Any ideas?
