I have a terminal server and I wish to hide the local C drive so the remote users cannot see it within a TS session.
I have a GPO just for remote users and on the whole works as it should. The only option that does not appear to work is the hide these specified drives in My Computer. It removes the specified drives from the My Computer icon, but they remain within Windows Explorer.
They only disappear if I also enable the Prevent access to drives from My Computer. This is all well and good except it confuses the hell out of the end user as a access right windows pops up when they go into Windows Explorer to look at mapped drives.
When they click OK Windows goes into Explorer and the drives are hidden.
Is it possible to just hide the drives or prevent access and not display the error message?
There are no other GPOs in place and the server is it in own OU with one policy linked to it.
Thanks in advance.
