A third party setup up our Sharepoint 2007 site, and now I am supposed to administer it (boss dumped it in my lap, i'm sure everyone knows how that goes)

I am set up as a Site Admin on all sites, and also on Central Admin page. We have one area that is locked down so only specific users can get to it. Unfortunately I am not able to Add or even View members of this group. I think the developer must have accidently left himself as owner of the group, and not used the admin group we had setup.

Is there a way for me to make myself the owner of the group so I can change the settings I need. As I said I have full access to the server, siteadmin, and centraladmin areas.

Thanks for any help.
