Ground Start to Loop Start 1

Hello,

We have an Option 11C that has 6 ground start trunks attached. We are replacing it with a BCM 50 in several weeks. We have to have the lines converted to loop start for the BCM. AT&T decided to do that 3 weeks early. Does anyone know how to modify the Option 11c lines from ground start to loop start?

In LD 14 for each trunk TN you will need to change the response to the SIGL prompt from GRD to either LDR or LOP.

I have always used LDR when faced with this situation.

You should be able to CHG it.

Ok..I have tried CHG...OUT... what do I put for type? I have tried tnb, COT, TRK, nothing seems to work. Here is the output from one of the lines.DES LOCAL

in LD 14, you should be able to type CHG at the REQ prompt, then COT for type, then just return down until you hit SIGL, and enter LDR (or LOP if LDR doesn't work). Continue to hit return until you get another REQ prompt. Then repeat for each TN that needs to be changed.

That should be CHG 6, since you only have 6 trunks.

i checked my rls 3, it did let me change SIGL, but only the single chg return, the change 6 gave me a code...

I didn't know you could CHG #. I thought it was only good for NEW and OUT.

Hi Guys,

Ok, I changed my trunks and now the system will not even answer the phone. I do not know for a fact the lines were changed from grd start to lop start at AT&T however that order was submitted yesterday. Before I changed the trk's the system would answer the calls but not allow them to dial out, now it will allow neither. Do I need to change anything in the RDB that you guys know of?

There should not be anything in the RDB for signaling on copper trunks.

In this case, I would change the trunks back to GRD, then hammer AT&T to change back in their system until you are ready to switch.
