Gridlines on Sales Report

I have created a report which gives a grid layout report based by salesperson, one page per salesperson - the problem is the grid only prints down as far as the sales detail - i.e some salespeople have five lines others fifteen lines, the client would like the grid to print on the entire page of the report - but I can't get that to work.

Any ideas?

You might try creating a grid that is page length in size in a page header section and then go to the section expert and format the page header to "Underlay following sections."

your advice worked - now I need to align the details within the grid - I am thinking of building the report and then overlaying the grid after all groupings etc any ideas?

I think you would have to have the grid be the same size for all sections. I would magnify the view and make sure the lines are in the exact same position on the ruler in each section. You could initially create the grid in both sections, maybe formatting the detail lines to be red and matching the two grids until you are happy, and then removing the detail grid.

Actualy - we created the grid in another page header section and then used the underlay button - so we had column headers and a grid on each page ----thanks for your help
