We are using an electronic letterhead which uses HTML and it displays correctly in Office 2000, but when using Office 2003 the graphics shift towards the bottom of the e-mail which is incorrect.

Most of our users use Office 2000 and it's only in the last month we've bought a PC for a new salesman and it comes with Office 2003.

At the moment, to get around the problem, he is having to use a colleagues PC to send e-mails which is most inconvenient, and if I can't resolve it soon I will need to remove the software and put Office 2000 on instead.

I am trying to contact the maker of the electronic letterhead to see if they can help, but I thought I'd check it out here in the forum in case there's a tickbox in Office 2003 I can use to stop this annoying behaviour.

I do hope you can help.

Regards,
Jay

Eureka !

I've just out the problem - the clue was that the disclaimer was the wrong font size, it wasn't just the graphics being down at the bottom.

Outlook was set to use Word as its e-mail editor - as soon as removed the tickbox, the problem has completely gone away.

Strange that Word is corrupting my electronic letterhead in this way, though !

Well my memory can't stretch quite that far back to Office 2000 to remember the exact Graphics settings available in that version: my mind has been through Office XP, Office 2003 and is currently in Office 12 - so it's many settings ago! However, in Office 2003 you need to set the graphic Layout, Advanced option so that it is set Square, aligned to the Top of Page (not margin or column), with Centre, Left, Right or an exact measurement for horizontal position. It needs to be anchored to the first pagagraph mark in the document and you need to clear the Move with Text and check the Lock Anchor options.

It works fine in 2003 as I have done it many times. But as I said, I'm not sure about the equivalant settings in W2000.
