graphics card prob

I have helped build a number of computers in the past but this problem is really bugging me and no one can seem to help. I bought an AOpen Motherboard and i had to return it because it was faulty. I got a new one back but I am still having the same problem i dont think it is the motherboard again because the hard-drives are starting up. There is absoluttely no VGA display. I am using a Matrox Millenium G450 AGP. I have tried using two other graphics card another Matrox AGP (different model was working in customers last computer) and a PCI graphics card to no avail. I have also tried using two different monitors incase that was the problem. Can anyone help me.

A couple of things may be going on here. First, you may want to check the mainboard manual to determine if there is a jumper setting that needs to be changed to accomodate an external video card. The mainboard may have an onboard video. Another thing to check, if there is onboard video, is the BIOS. Check anything related to video in the BIOS to determine that all settings are at default. Also, if you have a PCI video card, try different expansion slots. Hope this helps.

Try setting the jumpers to clear the bios, turn the computer on, turn it off, then set the jumper back to normal. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Case PSU may not be powerful enough, or check your RAM type.
