GPO user settings not applying

I have a GPO that maps drives. That's under User Configuration and is linked to an OU that contains users only.

When logging on to desktop/laptops this GPO is applied correctly.

When logging on to a VMware View desktop the drives aren't mapped. GPResults shows the GPO is applied (on the Summary tab) but on the Settings tab there is nothing listed under the user configuration.

I don't see how the View desktop should matter as it's a user configuration setting not a computer one.

Any ideas why it says it's been applied but it doesn't take effect?

Doesn't really show much that I can see. It all looks like it's being applied.

Fixed. The VMware View XP desktops did not have Group Policy Preference Client Side Extensions for Windows XP (KB943729) installed. Downloaded from

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3628,

installed, ran gpupdate, logged off/on and the drives mapped perfectly.
