Ladies and Gentelment:

I work in the telecom department for a mid-size company. I am looking for a Linux based war dialer that I can use to both detect modems on regular scans, but also to identify what numbers are routed to after aquisitions and cut-overs. I have played with a demo of PhoneSwepp (which is a very nice application), but it is too pricey for my company to pick-up the tab. I was hoping to find an open-source solution that I could import out 1500 number list into. Thanks for your help!!

Biglebowski,

We have actually looked at SecureLogix before, but it is even more expensive than PhoneSweep. I know that there is a lot more functionality, but the bottom line is money. Why pay for technology when I can just work 80 hours a week tracking down modems? ;-)
