I use CuteFTP from

just fine on WinXP Pro.

Windows XP comes with a built in command line FTP program. You can use this if you are comfortable using the commands, which is basically all graphical FTP clients do anyway.

SmartFTP is good. It is free for personal use.

The latest WS_FTP LE needs so many procedures in order to register for free usage. The old one is much better.
