I am currently evaluating GoLive 5.0 and Dreamweaver 4.0 in an attempt to find out which will better suit my web-development needs. There are features I like about both, but before I make my final decision, I would like to know if there are any web-developers out there who have tried both products, what they think of them, pros + cons of each, etc..

Any help or opinions would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Alan Harris-Reid

I have only recently begun using Adobe GoLive 5. As far as I can tell when using a Stationary page template to create a series of pages from. If at a later date you want to change the template slightly the changes are not refelected in the pages you have already created!. This is a big let down!.

When using Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, if you do the same as mentoined above the changes are reflected in the pages previously created!.

If anybody knows any different - or if I am wrong then do please let me know it is really letting me down. The company where I work only have a copy of GoLive and not Dreamweaver.
