There is no comparison here, they are not even competitors.
Access allows you to build your own datasbases, access existing databases, write reports, build data entry forms, etc.
Goldmine is a customer relationship management (CRM) package. You cannot build new databases with it, you can only populate the database that comes with Goldmine. There are a number of reports predefined in Goldmine on the Goldmine database, while in Access there are zero predefined reports.
