Hello all and a million thanks for all you have already taught me.
Another noop here trying to do a few of the simplier things for my boss (opt 11C system with 85 employees in the company)

We have ~40 users with nothing more than voice mail (ACDNs) but I want to give an existing phone to one of them so he can answer calls at his new desk.
I don't think I need step by step directions, just an outline of the right steps to take and any pitfals to watch out for. I think I can delete the VMB # (ACDN?) and the create the set from scratch, but is this the right way?
Below are the ACD prt from LD 23 for the VMB number [2536] and then the Set printouts for the current desk set that I want to use [DN 2499, TN 2 5].

Just out ACD 2536, and program that up on key 0 of;
TN 002 0 00 05

No problem eh...this is an easy one!

Out the ACD in LD 23. Then if this is an existing telephone with out ACD, you can do an EASY Change.

What you have typed out will work, if you need to build it from scratch.

looks good but you do not have to delete the actual mailbox,VM doesnt care how the call gets to it, via ACDN or just DN, it sees the 4 digits and thats it in most cases.

I get an error with the easy change method.. I will try to our the ACDn first and see if that works. Man the reponse to my post was within seconds! You guys rock.
When I did this:

REQ: chg

TN 002 0 00 05
ECHG yes
ITEM key 0 scr 2536 0

I got this:

SCH0375
(DN type conflicts with input DN type.)

WHoops.. typo.. meant to say "OUT" not "our

dn conflict is because the acd has to be outed 1st..

Always out the ACD first. It'll save you some hair in the longrun!

it either turns white of turns loose... mine has been white for 20 years... mostly due to nortel

If you still have some, your either single, or found a good spouse!

You need to out the ACDN in LD 23 first, then you can do the ECHG on TN 2 5. Thats the only changes you need to make.

Got it! I was just to shy to out something without checking first. Outing can be a problem is some circles.
And as for the hair, its to late either way..
THANKS

To be safe, print the DNB/TNB and save, then out it. That way you can put it back if need be.
