See if you can adapt these and use them as a guide.

How to remove a second installation of a Windows operating system from a partition

2 copies of windows XP installed on my system

When XP has been removed (using Vista to do it), including XP's Boot.ini, Ntldr and NtDetect.com, (hidden System files on the System Boot Partition) download and use VistaBootPro to fix up Vista's boot manager.

LINNEY: I took a look at your suggestions and the third one using Vista Boot Pro looks like just what I need .Thanks very much. Now if I can just find a forum for Vista as good as this one, I'd really be happy.Old rceme
