Can anyone recommed any free software that updates the clock in the system tray and is compatable with Windows 2003 server?

If you do a google search on Public Network Time Servers you should be able to find an appropriate time source for your environment.

That feature set is already part of Windows 2003. Using a third party tool is just going to cause you problems.
