My girlfriends Win95 pc is behaving strangly but the main problem is that she has to reboot two or three times before the modem will dial out. When I check the diagnostics, it will say "modem not responding". After a few restarts the diagnostics are fine. Its a Zoom V.34 model 2805c.
I took the modem out and brought it home with me to try to install it on my Win98SE pc but not having any luck. I downloaded the drivers to a floppy disk and have
been able to install the modem but Windows cant seem to see it. I've tried every Com port available.
I installed a creative modem with a driver cd and it works fine. That ends up on Com4 but Com4 isnt available when I install the Zoom.
Any help would be most appreciated.
