We have a 64bit machine - HP NX6125 - and due to some compatibility issues we have with our software we instralled the notrmal 32bit Windows Xp and all the other drivers.

The machien works fine so now we want to image it with Ghost 8.

Installed the ghost client software on it and from the console send a request to image the laptop. The info is send and the laptop restart normal and then you see on the laptop the ghost image and then it is starting the image creation.

But after approx 1.07 min the data transfer stops ! ther is no activity anymore.

Thsi happens only to this machine as the rest of the laptops (NC6000 - NC6220) are all working fine.

Does anybody experienced the same issue and if so what did they do to solve it ?

The latest version of Ghost includes a bootable CD that allows you to backup or restore without loading Windows. If Ghost 8 comes with one, try doing it that way.

I had a problem the other day when Ghosting my system because one of the files was corrupted so Ghost couldn't read it. Try running CheckDisk to see whether there are any problems with the file system.
