Hi all,

My first post - looks like a great forum!

I'm trying to create a Ghost boot disk for an IBM R51 laptop. My efforts have involved modifying an existing Ghost bootdisk with DOS NIC drivers I downloaded form the IBM web site - but no go. Does anyone have a working Ghost bootdisk for this laptop - or provide assistance?

Cheers.

I'm confused, what exactly are you trying to accomplish? Do you have Ghost installed on this computer? What version? What OS? Does the laptop have a floppy drive?

Not sure what you want to do here, but I have found a very useful bit of software that allows you to boot from a CD with various tools installed.
You have to own the software tools to start off with, but if you have Norton Ghost you are OK.
Ghost is one option for the CD that you have too create.
Have a look at It is free to download. All you need is the supported software.

Hi all,

I was trying to create a DOS boot disk (floppy) for an R51 laptop which would connect to our Ghost server so that I could push an image to the server. We were having trouble getting the network card to work BUT late yesterday we discovered that the NIC driver was incorrect and this solved the problem.

I appreciate the posts!

Cheers,
