I was asked this the other day and didn't know... when XP is installed, the quicklaunch toolbar contains an icon to show the desktop. If that is removed, how can one get it back? I know you can right-click on the taskbar and the option is there in the menu, but regarless, how could I get that icon back?

Right-Click the Quick Launch toolbar and click on open folder

Right-Click empty area and choose New - Text Document.

Leave default name 'New Text Document.txt'

Double click to open it up in Notepad. Copy next 5 lines.

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save file.

Rename file to 'Show Desktop.scf'
