Getting the following message while

Getting the following message while in Word 2000 and am unable to cut & paste:

"This document could not be registered. It will not be possible to create links from other documents to this document."

Does Word need to be completely reinstalled or does anybody know a way out of this?

This is sometimes related to the blaster worm, go here and run the security update to rule it out:

You didn't mention if you had any other problems (emailing, etc.) but you have at least one symptom of the Blaster worm. Look at

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.html

or one of the other antivirus sites to see if you have been attacked by a virus.
