Question is it possible to use port #4 which i having running to server which gets internet connect and place a pc threw server and let server control it [example] reason I want to have a pc running threw server via second nic card n hub able to connect to internet

I installed second nic card ran a cat5 cable to hub then plugged second computer into this

router asigns ip's as so 192.168.1.100-150
server ip is 192.168.1.110

now what can i do if this is possible to use routing and ras service or woudl nat be the ticket

need to know how to configure so i can keep server behind router and one of my pcs running threw server with them all having internet connects

I'm not that clear on what you are asking, but if you are using the defaults on the linksys: the router address is 192.169.1.1 - so set the gateway on your PCs to that address. Set the DNS on the PCs to the Server address - 192.169.1.110. Setup a forwarder in DNS on the server to the DNS of the ISP. Just plug in a cable from your hub to the router. You can put a PC in the DMZ zone - Enable that option under the linksys advanced setup and plug that PC into port 4. You can configure RRAS for a VPN on the server, but set up forwarding on the Linksys router from the WAN IP address to the Server address to get through the firewall. I would use static routing and disable the DHCP - just assign the private IPs behind the firewall - so the forwarding will work for the RRAS.

ok i have 4 pc's I have cable modem going to linksys hub/router I want 3 pc's connected to hub/router{linksys}
computer 1 and 2 in ports 1 n 2 server{comp3} is in port 4
i want to run another computer{number4} into server so server controls it like as in i could use bandwith throttling to limit its bandwidth usage but i need to have it get internet connection threw the server as well nic card one static ip 192.168.1.110 that linksys assigned to server which has internet now i need to knwo how to set up second nic card to allow computer 4 upstairs computer to go threw server to internet? hope this makes sense

I suggset that you get another hub. Just a standard hub. Plug all your machines into it. Connect one cable from the new hub to the linksys router that goes out to the Internet. Disable DHCP on the router. Assign your IPs to each PC. 192.168.1.101, 192.168.1.102, etc. The Gateway will be the one you setup in the linksys setup 192.168.1.XXX. In the DNS settings on each PC, put the IP address of the server - 192.168.1.110. On the Server in DNS, setup a forwarder to the IP address of the ISP. Now all your PCs go through your server. Control them as necessary. No need for a second NIC, which will cause a whole bunch of other problems for you.

For what reason exactly are you wanting to take Computer4 through the Server (computer3). Is it a kid's computer and you're trying to control content?

No It's a family members who is a bandwidth hog so i was going to have server limit his bandwidth as far as bandwidth throttle him also using server as a lab with computer 4 being xp machine
